The right trailer for every type of construction machine
To transport a wide variety of construction, earthmoving and infrastructure machinery, we have several transport solutions for you in our range. We have divided these into the qualifiers that construction machinery manufacturers also maintain, namely:
Using the above qualifiers, you can easily see which trailers you can best use for your operations.
Compact
In the compact class, the weight of the machine to be transported (also known as a mini excavator) generally does not exceed 6 tonnes. The total transport height of the machine on tracks or tyres usually remains under 2.500 mm. As a result, the compact class can be transported on any semi low loader. Several machines can even be transported simultaneously on one semi low loader. Because of the size of this machine class, it is not necessary to use wheel wells or a crane arm recess.
The compact class is popular with companies working for nurseries and utilities (pipework) and for use in small construction and earthmoving applications. In these operations, there are usually several projects per day, requiring the machines to be loaded and unloaded several times a day. It is therefore advisable to choose a trailer with hydraulic ramps or ECO ramps, making it easier for the driver to load and unload the machines quickly and safely.
Below you will find a selection of our product range suitable for transporting compact-class construction machinery:

Medium
In the medium class, the weight of the machines to be transported is generally between 6 and 30 tonnes. The total transport height of the machine usually stays below 3,250 mm. This means that this class can still be transported on a semi low loader. If the transport height of the machine exceeds three metres, it must be transported on a low semi low loader. Think of a semi low loader on 205 tyres (lower axle load), on SL axles or a semi with wheel wells.
The medium class is the most universal class, where the machines can be widely used. These machines are often used in heavy construction and earthmoving applications. Tracked excavators are mainly used on unstable ground, and tyre excavators more on paved surfaces. Our semi low loaders are true all-rounders and easy to adapt to your loads. For medium-class machines, for instance, all our semis are equipped with widening supports so that tracked excavators are fully supported under the tracks for maximum stability. For shovels, wheel well(s) can be used to reduce the transport height. Furthermore, excavators can be equipped with a standard boom, offset boom or demolition boom and have various accessories such as buckets and pallet forks. Here, the crane arm recess and fixed neck offer ideal loading options.
Hydraulic ramps make vehicle loading and unloading faster and safer. Our ECO ramp is perfect for transporting vehicles doing smaller jobs, as the driver does not have to carry heavy ramps. The ECO ramp also delivers ample fuel savings.
We know that the trailer choice within this category is still very large. Our advisors will therefore be pleased to help you make the right choice. That way, you can be sure to get a trailer that suits you best.

Heavy
The heavy class, already indicated by its name, includes machines weighing more than 30 tonnes, and where the transport height almost always requires the use of a low loader. This heavy class goes up to machines weighing 95 tonnes. In this category, the weight and height determine the final transport solution. This can be a (standard) low loader or a dolly low loader combination.
For transport in this class, the machines are often fitted with a detachable boom and counterweight. The machines are often at the same location for long periods of time, so it is important that the trailer can be used as universally as possible.
