A highly appreciated trailer at the moment is our 6-axle semi low loader with wheel wells, crane arm recess and hydraulic ramps. With its robust construction and load capacity of up to 65 tonnes, this multifunctional trailer is ideally suited for transporting heavy duty construction, earth-moving and infrastructure machinery. With its flexible wheel wells and loading height, this semi low loader offers the same convenience as a heavy duty dolly low loader.
Multifunctional trailer
The trailer has a 3-metre-wide loading floor and hydraulic ramps that allow large machines to be loaded quickly and safely, without mounting widening timber. The hydraulic ‘heavy duty’ ramps are width-adjustable, allowing narrow and wide machines to be loaded easily and long booms to pass through. As the ramps are double-hinged, the ramp angle is particularly small, allowing machines with long booms to drive up safely without touching the ground. Furthermore, the ramps have hydraulic support legs at the rear, ensuring support for the loading floor and durability of the ramps when loading/unloading such heavy machines. Also, the ramps and outriggers are operable via wireless remote control for safety, convenience and overview.
The trailer has 2 pairs of wheel wells with grip strips, with the first wheel well enlarged by extension for tyre cranes with a larger wheelbase. The wheel wells allow the machines to be lowered by up to 40 cm. Of course, the crane's ground clearance (between the tyres) determines how deep it can actually sink without lying ‘on its belly’. After all, a transfer crane cannot sink as deep because of the outriggers and you will have to fill it with blocks. A shovel sinks in completely. The boom slot also allows machines with a long boom to be transported within the legal dimensions.

In April, we delivered this trailer to M. van Zanten and Verhoeks Overslag.
Sand and gravel dealer M. van Zanten is the supplier of sand and gravel for the south of Netherlands and beyond. Besides the basic products, sand and gravel, Machiel van Zanten also provides transport and transhipment services. With a complete fleet of vehicles, the necessary transhipment cranes, shovels and dumpers and their own unloading quay at their disposal, they meet the most diverse transport needs. To make this possible, Machiel van Zanten invested in this multifunctional 6-axle semi low loader.
Verhoeks Overslag specialises in loading and unloading barges with bulk and general cargo. Verhoeks uses various handling machines and skid steer loaders for this purpose. Verhoeks also has its own pontoons for handling operations where there is no quay. Verhoeks has invested in a new Broshuis 6-axle semi low loader to quickly bring the required machines on location.
