successfully concluded
On May 14th, the final refurbished Tropco trailer was completed and made its way off the production line at our factory in Kampen. Delivery took place the following Monday, right on schedule. With that, the complete project to refurbish 100 trailers for the Dutch Ministry of Defense was successfully concluded. A remarkable project made possible by our entire team and close collaboration with our partner DAF.
The Tropco trailers (truck-trailer combinations), originally delivered between 2005 and 2006, have been thoroughly refurbished after years of intensive use. Each trailer was dismantled down to the chassis and completely rebuilt. They were metallized, resprayed, fitted with new axles, and equipped with updated EBS braking systems. This comprehensive refurbishment ensures years of reliable service – a sustainable solution that continues to strengthen the operational capability of the Dutch Ministry of Defense.
A moment to remember
We pause to appreciate every project, large or small. The Tropco refurbishment was a special project that involved not only many trailers, but also craftsmanship and collaboration at every level of our organisation. This team effort enabled us to complete the Tropco order successfully and reinforce our position as a trusted partner in Defense projects.
On Monday, May 19th, the final trailers were officially handed over to the Dutch Ministry of Defense. In a symbolic gesture, Pieter-Bas Broshuis (Owner) handed over the ‘key’ to Major Arjen de Jong (Maintenance Manager for Wheeled Vehicles, Defense Materiel Logistics Command). A moment shared with a smile, marking not only the successful completion of this project, but also the deep trust we’ve built as a Defense partner.
The success of this project is thanks to the dedication of our skilled team, committed to the highest quality standards. Whether for new trailers or refurbishments, we always deliver products that are sustainable, reliable, and ready for the future.
