reliable quality
At Jozef Hermans, quality is paramount. Based in Venlo, the company specialises in exceptional transport and industrial removals. Jos Hermans (Managing Director) shares his experiences with their trusted 6-axle hydraulically steered Broshuis semi low loader, which has been part of their fleet since 2011.
Thirteen years ago, the company purchased a used 6-axle semi (production year 2006). The trailer was purchased to meet the growing demand for transporting production machines. "The trailer was for sale at a good price and the trusted robust quality without fuss was decisive," says Jos Hermans. The investment in the trailer soon proved profitable. "We were very busy with exceptional transport and were outsourcing a huge amount of transport at the time and I think we had already earned back the investment within six months," says Jos.
Durability and ease of use
The trailer is still used daily for local exceptional transport and the transport of a special indoor industrial crane. Its ease of use is much appreciated by the drivers: "Very easy to use, so great... even I can do it," Jos says with a smile. In recent years, the trailer required limited maintenance. After some initial adjustments after purchase, it was serviced annually, with no significant problems. "We do a big inspect the trailer every year, and believe me, I have been under many trailers ... but this one still looks exceptionally good."
Future prospects
Jos Hermans sees many more years ahead with the current trailer. "When I took over my father's company, 50-year-old trailers were driving around. This trailer will definitely last a long time," Jos says confidently. There has been a good relationship between Broshuis and Jozef Hermans for 85 years. "My grandfather bought the first low loader built by Broshuis. That was some 70 years ago," Jos says. "The market has become very competitive in the last 10 years, but the relationship with Broshuis goes back a long way and quality always wins over quantity."
High quality – long service life
