New crane semi for Van Heyningen Transport BV
We recently delivered a crane semi to Van Heyningen Transport BV. Last year, father Peter Sr and son Peter Jr. van Heyningen asked us whether we could build a heavy crane on a double-extendable 3-axle semi low loader. This is a.o. for transporting and assembly of overhead cranes in industrial sites, air-conditioning units on roofs, but also heavy glass plates for padel courts. After mapping out their requirements in detail, Broshuis was commissioned to supply a 3-axle double extendable semi low loader.
Broshuis gladly accepts these challenges together with the crane builder, given our extensive experience in supplying such combinations. Broshuis provides a fully assembled trailer that is completely prepared for the crane; mounting place for the crane slings, space for the folded mast, various hydraulic lines of the crane through chassis, etc. HIAB installed and set up the crane within a few days without having to weld or grind on the preserved chassis! That's what you call "Plug & Play".
Besides the good cooperation with Van Heyningen, there is also intensive collaboration between the Broshuis and HIAB engineers. The crane, a folding HIAB 65 TM has to be as far as possible to the front, against the headboard. This will leave enough loading space behind the crane to be able to carry almost everything; after all, loading space is paid for by the clients, Mr Van Heyningen rightly points out. To stabilise the crane properly and relieve the central beam during lifting, the gooseneck is reinforced and a set of hydraulic support legs are mounted under the neck.
Last Monday, we had the pleasure of delivering this unique trailer. We wish Van Heyningen Transport BV many safe and profitable kilometres and working pleasure with this crane semi.
